Review Your Company’s Internet Policy

Have a written internet policy to establish a guideline of acceptable use.
Every employee needs to sign it to establish that they received a copy.
Review the policy yearly and whenever altered.

To keep your business and network safe, include protocols such as:

  • Internet use is for job-related activities only
  • Personal internet use is prohibited
  • All sites and downloads can be monitored and blocked if they are harmful or unproductive to the company
  • Approval is necessary for the installation of all software or apps
  • Social media policy
  • Email use policy
  • A zero-tolerance policy for communication that is offensive, discriminatory, or constitutes harassment.
